Dear Lord Stanley...

I was in Toronto this past weekend with some lovely lovely ladies, and we had the most fantastic privilege to go and kiss Lord Stanley's Cup. After all, how many times are you going to get to go to the Hockey Hall of Fame when your team is in possession of the Cup??


Last year when I visited the HHOF I didn't even touch the Cup... Now... I've kissed it. (We were informed by the HHOF guy who stands near the Cup, "You can kiss it, but no tongue." haha)

Funny thing -- a couple random people kept taking our picture when we would pose with the Cup. Maybe our pictures will end up random places all over the internet. I guess you never know. Haha.

On the way home from Toronto we discussed why it's so awesome to be hockey fans... especially hockey fans in America. It's almost like it's a special club. During our drive we spotted a car with a Calgary Flames bumper sticker. Since we're hockey fans, and they're hockey fans we had to make some comment. Right? We ended up making a little poster that said, "We love Miikka Kiprusoff" we put it up to our window and got a smile and a wave from the guy. Excellent.

I'm going to go from being in the heart of all things ice hockey -- Canada -- to south of the Mason-Dixon Line in less than three days... It's bitter sweet. I've had a great summer in Pennsylvania, full of a TON of awesome hockey memories -- especially the Stanley Cup parade in Pittsburgh. But I'm also getting excited to see my friends from AC again... I'm starting to really really miss them. Going back and forth between home and college is always bitter-sweet, but well, it's part of life...

I guess we can think of it this way -- Kentucky is full of people who have yet to be properly informed of the Pittsburgh Penguins awesome STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONSHIP!
